The original course «The languages of contemporary art. The reconstruction action» is part of the Educational and debating program for Karelian creative youth being initiated and organized by the Creative Industries and Cultural Tourism Development Fund with the support from the Open Society Institute.

Course schedule

April 10, 12.00 – 14.00

Simulation Museum. Development from an author-character to a laboratory model of an art process. Concept design of a character as a study matrix of visual languages.  

April 11, 16.00 – 18.00


Picture – installation – performance (Surface – space – personal body). Paradoxical layering of visual systems and various interpretations of a «gesture» and a «picture» – a multi-layer PIECE OF ART without an author.

The process drama: dialogs, language conflict, nullification of surface.

Collection of personal mythologies that predetermined the possibility and the way of participation in an action – an ARTIST without a piece of art. Name mythology – signature.

April 12, 18.00 – 20.00

Hypertext. A laboratory model of art process. Impossibility of the museum. Possibility of reproduction («Reincarnations»). Analogies («An alternative history of arts». «Name the other one», «Moscow. TSUM»).
